Making Music, Making Art, Making History

Conclusion

Sampling music opens the door for more creativity and ingenuity.  It can bridge the musical gap between the past and present by weaving songs, instrumentals, lyrics, and vocals together in order to create something as big as an entire album.  Sampling has gained popularity, but isn't new.  Artists, mostly rappers, have been sampling songs since the early 80's.

Federal judges have had difficulty applying copyright and intellectual property laws to cases where an artist sues another artist for sampling their song(s) because technology is quickly changing.

Sampling is predicted to continue for many years to come, especially since music has moved online and is easily accessible with little regulation.
